So I heard about a competition from Cass Arts to have your design on a sketchbook if you win. Now I haven't won but I was featured as a highlight along with all these other talented artists. We wont know who has won until after May 1st but this is such a proud moment for me even though it's something so small.

So lately, I was introduced to an adorable piece of software called Fire Alpaca. Very similar to Paint Tool Sai but with not as many brush options. This is mainly down to the fact that the software is fairly new. That being said I'm enjoying using the software to quickly get my ideas visualised. The more I use it the more I'm questioning whether to integrate it into my final character designs instead using my lovely pro markers. Perhaps I could do the line work in Fire Alpaca and colour with promarkers or do the line work with fineliners and pro markers, then go on to colour on fire Alpaca. These are the choices I'll have to make pretty soon!

I have been looking at ways to get my name out there and I've found that Vista Print has a wide range of products that would be fantastic to use. Below are some examples of my favourites. I have actually ordered the business cards and they should be arriving soon.

Hi there, reader! You've stumbled across a blog of my art work! I'll tell you a little about myself first. My name is Becca, I'm 21 and I'm a student studying Illustration with Animation at Wirral Metropolitan College. I'm in my third year and focusing on character design. As the weeks go by you'll see some examples of work from my current project popping up on here. But for now have these!
